Philippe Coutinho is one step closer to completing a move to Liverpool from Inter Milan. Reports are suggesting that Coutinho has completed his medical at the club without any problems and is about to officially make the move from Inter in a deal worth around £12 million.

Liverpool could still re-sign Tom Ince from Blackpool after the Championship club rejected a bid from Reading. Reading tried to sneak in and sort a deal for the Tangerines’ star player, worth around the £7 million mark. Whether Liverpool will pay Blackpool’s £8 million asking price remains to be seen.

Liverpool face a fight against several other clubs if they want to land Lazio striker Mario Zarate. Liverpool would appear to be the favourites to land the forward as reports suggest the other two sides interested are Sunderland and Stoke City, lower profile clubs than the Reds.

Vegard Forren has revealed that former Manchester United player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was instrumental in his decision to snub Liverpool. The Anfield club had made a bid to sign the former Molde defender but it has emerged one of their old foes prevented it from happening.

Brendan Rodgers has revealed the club are unlikely to send Sebastian Coates out on loan. The Uruguayan international has been linked with a move away from Anfield as he has not been a regular part of the Liverpool side as Rodgers attempts to blend in younger players to the team.

Fabio Borini says he will play out of his skin if he gets a chance in the Premier League match against Arsenal. Borini is one of the players who has come under heavy criticism following the club’s exit from the FA Cup an away defeat at League One side Oldham Athletic.
