Barnsley, Millwall, Ipswich Town, Watford and Crystal Palace all feature.
Wigan are thought to be readying a second bid for Barnsley full back John Stones. Stones has been linked with several Premier League clubs but Wigan are throwing the first punches, having already had a bid rejected for the player this month. Stones is apparently top of Roberto Martinez’s transfer list.
Millwall are poised to sign Rob Hulse on loan from Queens Park Rangers. The Championship side have been forced into finding a replacement for Darius Henderson who has just left the club for Nottingham Forest. Hulse could join on loan for the rest of the season.
Ipswich town have reportedly lined up a deal to sign Richard Stearman on loan from Wolves for the rest of the season. Ipswich have been linked with defensive reinforcements for much of the January transfer window and Stearman doesn’t seem to figure in Wolves’ plans for the rest of the campaign.
Matej Vydra is close to signing a permanent deal with Watford. The Czech Republic striker has scored 18 goals in 27 games for the club, on loan from Udinese this season. Watford and Udinese are both owned by the same family which makes the likelihood of an agreement much higher.
Brighton have had a second bid rejected for FC Groningen player Virgil van Dijk. Brighton are reported to have bid around the £2 million mark for the defender but the Eredivisie side seem reluctant to let him leave until at least the start of the summer window.
Bristol City have rejected a second bid from Crystal Palace for attacking midfielder Albert Adomah. Palace opened the bidding with an offer of £1 million before a second bid of £1.75 million, both of which have been turned down. Bristol City are thought to be holding out for between £3-4 million.
Owain Fon Williams says he has no desire to leave Tranmere Rovers. The goalkeeper has been in fine form for the League One pace setters which has seen him linked with high profile moves to a number of Championship teams. However, he has said he’s focused on only helping Tranmere to be promoted this season.
