Future projects unveiled as the company beefs up Wii U software offering.
Zelda: Wind Walker will be making its return to gamer’s screens as its set to receive an HD makeover for the Nintendo Wii U.
This comes shortly after Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata announced that there were going to be two new Zelda titles for the console, with the second release “some time” away.
Zelda: Wind Walker will hit the Wii U this autumn and boasts not only new graphics but Miiverse integration, encouraging social interaction with other players.
“The fun of video games is not only just playing games, but also sharing experiences together with people – even though they live far away, their skill levels are different or their experience does not happen at the same time,” Iwata commented.
“We want Wii U to be the system that brings everyone together.”

During the same address to fans, the company also revealed plans to release a new 3D Mario title from the makers of Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii and Super Mario 3D for the 3DS.
Alongside offerings such as new Wii Fit U features and a new Wii Party installment, hardcore gamers were thrown a bone with the announcement of Bayonetta 2 and a new Super Smash Bros.
