Celtic's Gary Hooper is proving to be a big target for Premier League clubs with Norwich and Tottenham both interested. Celtic want £10 million for his signature and have just rejected a second offer from Norwich, with Neil Lennon determined to hang onto the forward who has 18 months left on his contract.
QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar is a target for both Arsenal and Manchester United, claim The Sun. Cesar, 33, has the pedigree to play for a top club, with seven years spent at Inter Milan including being a key part of their Champions League win in 2010. The report says along with United losing faith in David de Gea, Arsenal are having their own doubts over Wojciech Szczesny.
The same paper report that Arsenal are not giving up in their pursuit of Barcelona striker David Villa. Reports in Italy claim the Gunners are looking to sign Stefan Jovetic from Fiorentina. He would not name the club who have submitted the improved offer, with Arsenal and Spurs also in the running, but did rule Newcastle out.
Fabriccio Coloccini has said he is 'anxious' to leave Newcastle, according to Sky Sports, a wish which has taken a step closer to being granted after the club clinched the signing of Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-M'biwa. Another Frenchman set to arrive at Newcastle this week is Yoan Gourffran, with a fee agreed and the striker confirming a deal was imminent on his Twitter page.
The Mirror report that Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was at Celtic's game last night, personally scouting midfielder Victor Wanyama, believed to be a summer target. The Kenyan midfielder is rated at £10 million plus, but no movement is expected on this deal this transfer window.
