Spartan Ops: Season one returns with five new episodic adventures.
Master Chief fans will soon be donning their Spartan armour and slow jumping to victory again as Microsoft has announced that Halo 4 will be updated with yet more new content, Spartan Ops: Season One.
The Xbox 360 title will receive five weekly updates from the 21st January to 24th February, allowing players to return to the episodic gaming adventures of the USNC Infinity.
Each week a high-quality cinematic episode will be released detailing the events of the series, accompanied by playable chapters, at no additional charge, but it does need an Xbox LIVE Gold subscription.
This follows up the first half of Spartan Ops: Season One, with the five original episodes available to play at any time.
"Get introduced to Captain Lasky, Commander Palmer and Fireteam Majestic as they continue to explore the mysteries of the Forerunner planet of Requiem," enthused Microsoft.
"Access to Spartan Ops is included with Halo 4 at no additional charge1 — effectively delivering two campaign experiences in one game."
Halo 4 was released in November 2012 and quickly became the fastest selling title in the series, with over $220 million sales within the first 24 hours.
The popular sci-fi FPS was originally developed by Bungie and later picked up by 343 Industries, following the originator's departure to work on its much anticipated follow-up Destiny.
