Men v Women - Online Behaviour

The average man spent 1012 hours online in 2012, while women spent 741 hours - what are you surfing for boys ?

A study of 2,000 people’s internet use compared the online habits of the sexes, and found that men clock up over 19 hours a week online – more than 42 solid days each year, and over a third longer than women.

It also emerged men consume more online news than women, but surprisingly spend as much time on celebrity news as women.

While results surprisingly showed one in eight women regularly surf the web for porn.

The research, which was commissioned by domain giant, found women are the bigger Facebook users (checking five times a day on average) while men spend longer on Twitter.

And more than half of the 2,000 people thought they may actually be addicted to the internet – women were slightly more likely to feel they had an addiction.
