Who would you like to see Arsenal sign?
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has indicated there still could be a couple of arrivals at the Emirates this month, although naturally said his priority is hanging onto his current stars.
"My plan is to keep all of the players we have and then to add maybe, if possible, two new players to the squad. We will spend big (again) because we had restricted finances because we had built the stadium and had to pay that back."
So taking his comments at face value, who would you like to see Arsenal sign? We have come up with a shortlist based on the latest reports...
The Crystal Palace ace is wanted by both Arsenal and Manchester United. Offers are expected from either or both clubs imminently for the young winger, and with Theo Walcott moving into the centre he could be a good fit out wide and compliment for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Spanish striker Adrian Lopez has emerged as a strong target for Arsenal this month, and Atletico Madrid are open to a sale at the right price. They have even begun lining up replacements, and while his goals record this season is not spectacular, he has a lot of potential and will offer a new option up front.
Diame's contract situation at West Ham means he could be picked up for as little as £3.5 million. Arsenal could snap him up and finally replace Alex Song in midfield, and have seen first hand what he can do when he scored past them at Upton Park earlier this season.
Football Italia linked Arsenal with Inter Milan forward Diego Milito earlier this week with the Serie A side looking to lighten their wage bill. Champions League winner Milito is 33, so not a typical Wenger signing, but is a predatory penalty box finisher and in the short-term just what Arsenal need- but his wage demands will make a move tricky.
Frenchman Moussa Sissoko is an alternative to Mohamed Diame in defensive midfield, but available at a similar price due to his expiring contract. He is currently at Toulouse and is also wanted by Newcastle.
Yohan Gourcuff was once hailed as the 'next Zidane' and while he has never looked like scaling those lofty heights, he has had a modicum of success but has trailed off in recent years. He is an attacking midfielder who is now 28, and could be bought from Bordeaux for just £3 million, with Marouane Chamakh's former club open to offers.
Another Milan-based player linked with the Gunners, the midfielder is 'unhappy' at his lack of playing time this season and wants to move on. Only a year ago he helped knock Arsenal out of the Champions League. The former Ajax starlet can play left-back or left-wing and is 26-years-old.
Another Toulouse player, Aurier is a young right-back who Arsenal are said to be interested in to compete with Carl Jenkinson in case Bacary Sagna moves on in the summer. Arsenal can probably afford to hold off on a move until the summer at least, as Aurier would only be third choice at present, unless they have designs on loaning out Jenkinson now as has been suggested.
Derby County 'wonderkid' Will Hughes is just 17 but is playing Championship football already like he has been at it for years. Manchester City were linked with a move earlier this week and Arsenal may seek to ensure they don't lose out on the youngster by moving now.
A week ago it looked like Llorente was likely to move to Juventus, but the president of the Serie A club has now said he expects no major moves to be done in this transfer window. Llorente's contract expires in the summer and Arsenal may still be able to tempt Bilbao into a quick sale with a reasonable offer.
