Joel Campbell has been on Arsenal's books for one and a half seasons now, but is yet to play a game for the club because he has been out on loan the whole time due to work permit complications.
Last season he was on loan in Ligue One with Lorient where he scored a meagre four goals, and this season was sent out to Real Betis in La Liga.
His best performances have come on international duty for Costa Rica, grabbing headlines with goals against both Spain and Wales.
After a slow start in La Liga this season he is showing promising signs. After hitting a winner against Deportivo in December, his first of the season, the club have begun to utilise him more.
At the weekend he netted his second of the season, against Levante in a 2-0 win, firing his side to fourth in the table and the Champions League places.
Could it be he qualifies for the Champions League with Betis this season and his parent club do not?
That remains to be seen of course, but you can watch his goal below, which is hopefully the first of many more for him in 2013...
Can Campbell make it at Arsenal? Should they bring him on board next year?
