Tottenham target Willian is causing the wrong kind of headlines in the Ukraine, after failing to return back to the club on time from vacation in Brazil. Manager Mircea Lucescu said: "It is not very nice to say that Willian did not return from holiday on time and thus he is exerting a certain pressure on the club, I think it was unprofessional of him."
The coach added he wanted the highly rated winger to fix his differences with the club, who signed Taison as an insurance policy against losing the star, but said "Without Willian we will move on." The player's agents are holding out for a move for either Chelsea or Tottenham.
Andre Villas-Boas has revealed he almost signed Scott Parker for Chelsea when he was manager there last summer. Parker was then available from West Ham, but AVB plumped to sign Oriol Romeu instead. He went onto praise the midfielder after his contribution against QPR after coming off the bench on Saturday.
Tottenham target Wesley Sneijder has been instructed to 'make his mind up' by his club Inter Milan. President Massimo Moratti has urged Sneijder to 'be professional' and decide before the day is out what he wants to do. He has an offer from Turkish side Galatasaray but is said to prefer a Premier League move.
David Bentley could be heading back to former club Blackburn Rovers, according to reports in the Daily Mail. Bentley is back with Spurs after his loan in Russia with FC Rostov, but is not part of Andre Villas-Boas' current plans. Rovers want to bring Bentley in on another loan deal between now and the end of the season.
Tottenham have missed out on signing Loic Remy, who is due to sign for one of QPR or Newcastle. The striker was linked with the club under Harry Redknapp, but Andre Villas-Boas chose not to pursue Spurs' interest.
Spurs' forward search goes on, with little progress on a deal for Leandro Damiao or Alvaro Negredo. Nick Harris takes a look at five other potential targets.
Reported teenage target Will Hughes is wanted by Manchester City, according to today's papers. Spurs were credited with interest in the 17-year-old in late December. Arsenal are also interested in the player who is already a regular in the Championship, and is valued at around £10 million.
And finally, Tottenham's under-21 side have thrashed Wolves 5-1 this afternoon in snowy conditions. Jon Obika scored twice, with goals also coming from Iago Falque, Tom Carroll, and Andros Townsend.
