Football League Transfer Talk: Including Zaha and Webster

Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Bolton Wanderers, Wolves and Bristol City all feature.

Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has said he will try to re-sign Wilfried Zaha on loan if the winger leaves the club by the end of January. Zaha has been linked with a high profile move to Manchester United with Holloway insisting he would try and get the youngster back for the rest of the season.

Nottingham Forest manager Alex McLeish has told goalkeeper Lee Camp that he can leave the club if he desires. Camp has been linked with a move to Premier League side Reading in recent weeks which has prompted the suggestion Forest would force him to move before the end of the month.

Crystal Palace have completed the loan signing of Alex Nimely. Nimely signs for the side on a temporary deal from Manchester City until the end of the season. Nimely is a striker who is at his best when he plays on the shoulder of the defence looking to run in behind and find space.

Bolton Wanderers winger Martin Petrov is close to a deal to join Spanish side Espanyol. Petrov has been at Bolton for a number of seasons but has struggled to cope with the side’s drop to the Championship which has prompted the move to the La Liga outfit.

Bristol City have signed Scotland international Liam Kelly from Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock. The fee is undisclosed but it’s being reported that Kelly has signed a long term deal with the Championship side who are currently struggling in the relegation places.

Wolves are reportedly weighing up a move for Hearts defender Andy Webster. New Wolves manager Dean Saunders is thought to want defensive reinforcements as he targets the back four as the area the club most need to improve over the rest of the Championship season.

Derby County have cancelled the contracts of youth players Stefan Galinski and Kane Richards by mutual consent. The pair apparently requested the move by the club so that they could move on and ply regular first team football. It means any side wishing to sign either will get them as a free agent.
