BNY Mellon has been active in Hong Kong since 1958 and obtained a branch licence in 1983. Today, Hong Kong is BNY Mellon's Asia-Pacific headquarters and employs over 240 people.

Kriesel has over 25 years' experience in the financial services industry and has played a key role in developing BNY Mellon's business in Asia-Pacific in her position as head of Global Client Management for Hong Kong; a role which she will continue to undertake reporting into Eleni Wang, Asia-Pacific head of Global Client Management. She will also report into Steve Lackey in her new role as country executive for Hong Kong.
In addition to her client-facing responsibilities, Kriesel has been instrumental in the development of BNY Mellon's employee engagement programme across Asia-Pacific. Kriesel serves as Chair of BNY Mellon's Asia-Pacific Women's Initiatives Network (WIN) affinity network, Chair of the firm's Hong Kong Employee Engagement Committee and is a member of the Asia-Pacific Employee Engagement Committee. Kriesel is also very active in BNY Mellon's philanthropic programme in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining BNY Mellon in 2005, Kriesel, a qualified Canadian Chartered Accountant, held a number of senior positions at global financial institutions in Bermuda, Luxembourg and most recently Hong Kong where she has been based since 1993.
