Bebe's career so far has been full of plenty of ups and downs, and right now the attacker is enjoying a 'good moment.'
United sent him on loan last season to Turkish side Besiktas and it was a real disaster. He injured his cruciate knee ligaments before he had even kicked a ball for the club.
When he did return, he barely featured and then fell out with the manager for breaking a late curfew prior to a game.
His second loan spell, which began this January, has started far better. He signed on loan in his native Portugal with top flight side Rio Ave in an effort to get more first team football under his belt.
Last night he made his debut in a cup game against Maritimo. And wouldn't you know it he popped up with the winner in the 75th minute in a 1-0 win to take Rio Ave through to the semi-finals.
With the club fifth in the league as well, it really is an exciting time for the player who has a genuine chance to build on his good start and get some confidence.
He needs it, at United he hasn't had a kick in the first team all season, not even in the League Cup or the Champions League dead-rubbers.
Bebe did though have a promising pre-season, scoring on the club's tour of South Africa and setting up another. Playing in the Portuguese flight is definitely better for him than featuring in United's under-21 team.
You never know, this could be the making of him, and United may even get back a genuine player on their hands.
Can Bebe build on his good start? What does his future hold?
