Arsenal have been linked with Hungarian striker Adam Szalai.

Move over Peter Crouch, there's a new dancing striker who could be on his way to the Premier League.

Reports from Germany have today linked Arsenal with Hungarian striker Adam Szalai.

Szalai has been prolific for club and country this season; he currently plays for Mainz in Germany's Bundesliga.

He has scored 11 times so far and is expected to eclipse 20 goals this season for his club.

The striker became notorious earlier in the season when he celebrated his goals by doing the dance to Korean pop song Gangnam Style.

Bild is claiming that Arsene Wenger is keen on the 25-year-old. The publication even put the rumour to the striker himself who coyly replied, "I know of nothing ..."

German clubs Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund are also interested, with Jurgen Klopp's side identifying him as a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski who has been strongly linked with Manchester United.

So what do we think of the rumour? Well Arsenal could do with extra strength in attack, and Szalai is an excellent prospect, even if the £20 million his club value him at is a tad overpriced.

Can we see Arsenal paying that much? Despite the millions they have in the bank, it's doubtful they will, but if they could get Szalai for around £15 million, that would be more likely. The problem is he has a contract at Mainz until 2015 and there is no buyout clause, so his club hold all the cards.

However it's certainly an interesting one, if only so we could see his celebration in the Premier League.

For now though, you can watch it below...

Would Szalai be a good signing for Arsenal?
