Will Wesley Sneijder sign for Tottenham Hotspur this January? What about Manchester United or even QPR?
Wesley Sneijder must really wish he left Inter Milan in 2011. He was pursued by both Manchester United and Manchester City but a combination of his high wage demands and Inter's asking price saw him remain at the San Siro.
Since then it has been pretty miserable for the Dutchman, shunted around various tactical formations of Inter's merry-go-round of managers, unable to reproduce the success he had under Jose Mourinho in 2009-10.
Inter are prepared to let him go either this month or in the summer to trim their wage bill, at a knock-down fee, and speculation is mounting as to where the Dutchman will end up.
Even the bookmakers are offering prices on where the 28-year-old will end up. Here they are...
- Tottenham Hotspur 11/10 favourites
- Manchester United 5/2
- Liverpool 4/1
- QPR 7/1
- Arsenal 14/1
- Anzhi Machachkala 16/1
- PSG 16/1
- Manchester City 20/1
- Chelsea 22/1
- Bayern Munich 25/1
- Zenit St Petersburg 40/1
QPR's high price comes despite Sneijder's agent saying he has 'absolutely no interest' in joining Harry Redknapp's relegation battling side. Tottenham are mean negotiators and are looking for a spark this January to ensure they do not fall short in the battle for Champions League places. Sneijder may be just that man.
Where do you expect Sneijder to end up? Is he Spurs-bound?
