European transfer round-up: Including David Villa and Robinho

Spain's all-time top scorer David Villa and former Manchester City and now AC Milan striker Robinho feature in a run-down of the continents transfer stories from the past 24 hours.

Barcelona feature along with Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Schalke, PSG and Villarreal.

Perhaps the biggest talking point over the last 24 hours is the future of Barcelona forward David Villa who now looks extremely likely to leave the club either in January or the summer.

The Spanish international has failed to force his way into Barcelona's first team and a move to Premier League side Arsenal has been mentioned, however, amongst interest from the likes of Juventus also, the Catalans are yet to decide whether to sell him now or later.

Moving away from Spain and over to Italy, AC Milan forward Robinho looks set to finally leave the club and join Alexandre Pato on a plane back to Brazil.

The former Man City striker has fallen out of favour this season and Santos are extremely keen on bringing him home. However, problems over a transfer fee are still ongoing with the Italian side holding out for more than £6m.

Inter Milan have completed the signing of Lazio striker Tommaso Rocchi, the 35-year-old has signed a short term deal until June.

The former European champions are also keen on signing Atalanta starlet Riccardo Saponara and are considering an offer before European clubs take interest.

Andrea Pisanu has left Italy and joined Montreal Impact in America, whilst over in Germany, Christoph Metzelder has told German club Schalke that he will not renew his contract and is waiting on an offer from the MLS.

In France, mega-rich Paris Saint Germain have told Real Madrid that they will approach Cristiano Ronaldo in the correct way if they decide to move for him in the summer transfer window.

And, finally Giuseppe Rossi has completed his move from Villarreal to Fiorentina, wise business for the Spanish side after the former Man Utd striker has suffered countless injuries during his time in Spain.
