Marouane Chamakh may have arrived at Arsenal on a free - But fans certainly feel they have been shortchanged.
Despite a promising start the Moroccan international has been largely poor, and failed to hold down a regular place in the Gunners first team, in fact this season he has not played a single minute of Premier League football.
His showings have been in the Capital One Cup with the rest of Arsenal's second string, with mixed success - There was a brace in a remarkable 7-5 win over Reading, and the missed penalty in the miserable defeat to Bradford City.
That looks likely to be his last appearance in a Gunners shirt, with reports claiming he is closing in on a move across the capital to West Ham United.
The deal is expected to be a loan move - although others have claimed it could be a permanent £1.5 million deal, with Sam Allardyce thought to be keen to add to his strikeforce with Andy Carroll injured until the end of the month.
But do West Ham fans actually want Chamakh, the player who has been castigated by Arsenal fans for his poor displays? We took a look at Twitter to see what Hammers supporters are saying about the move...
@daniel_millican: Chamakh and Cole are just what we need, hopefully 2 fullbacks and we are done for January
@Mr_ba6: Now I'm not a big fan of Chamakh but given the right chance at a club with a confidence manager, he may excel into a very good player
@srowleyofficial: Why is Marouane Chamakh trending in relation to joining
#WHUFC, surely we can do better than that?
@weloveyouWHU: Marouane Chamakh. Yes or no? It would be a no from me, but if Big Sam see's something in him, then I trust him. What about you?
#WHUFC is a better team now with Chamakh and J. Cole. Needed to bring guys in to help with these injuries. Young guys weren't stepping up
@ben_solomons: Please don't be true about Chamakh!
Not exactly unanimous in support - How do you feel about the deal?
