Nuri Sahin may return to the Liverpool starting eleven this weekend for the home match against Southampton. Sahin has been warming the bench in recent weeks and could be included following Liverpool’s away defeat to Spurs during the mid-week fixtures.

The agent of Wilfried Bony has confirmed that Liverpool have made contact with Vitesse Arnhem over the striker. Dutch newspapers have suggested that Liverpool have come in with an offer of around £15 million for the player and will be willing to put the player on a lucrative contract.

Bafetimbi Gomis has become the latest striker linked with a move to Liverpool. The Lyon front man is thought to be available although it would require Liverpool splashing the cash on a hefty transfer fee. Reports confirm Liverpool sent scouts to watch him play in a recent Ligue 1 match.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has said Raheem Sterling would be very foolish not to sign a new contract with the club. Liverpool are waiting for Sterling to turn 18 so he can sign a professional deal which has prompted rumours that other clubs could come in and offer Sterling a larger wage packet.
