Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is expected to keep faith in the youngsters of the club for the Europa League match against Young Boys. Liverpool have four matches in the next ten days and Rodgers has said he will use the young players in his squad to keep everyone fresh and to prioritise.

Martin Skrtel has insisted the club will need to be at their best to beat Young Boys in the Europa League. Skrtel says the defence needs to play well to keep out the attack of Young Boys despite no high profile names appearing in the attack of Liverpool’s Swiss opponents.

Lucas is unlikely to make a return to the Liverpool first team until after this weekend. Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that the player is continuing to make good progress from a severe thigh injury and has also confirmed that he will play in a youth team match at the end of this week.

Brendan Rodgers says he is grateful that Liverpool have understanding and patient owners. Parallels have been drawn between Rodgers and former Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo who lost his job this week despite Chelsea being in much better form and a better situation than Liverpool.

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel says he would have nightmares about playing against Luis Suarez. The centre back has argued that Suarez is the best in the business when it comes to strikers in the Premier League and that he’s confident that opposition defenders are scared of the Uruguayan striker.

Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson says things are going to simply get better for winger Raheem Sterling. Sterling made his England debut against Sweden and didn’t look out of place leading the football pundit to tip Sterling for greatness despite recent distractions away from the pitch involving the police.

Liverpool legend Steve Nicol says Daniel Sturridge is not the calibre of striker the club should be trying to sign. Recent reports have suggested that Liverpool are in the process of making a £15 million bid to make the Chelsea forward a Liverpool player when the January transfer window opens.

Brendan Rodgers says he is shocked by the comments of Swansea City defender Ashley Williams. Williams criticised Luis Suarez saying that he hated him more than any other player and Rodgers has commented on the situation saying he only has positive experiences of working with Williams based on his time as Swansea boss.
