Natixis Global Asset Management (NGAM) has announced the appointment of Leigh Fisher, who joins as Head of Advisory, and Darren Pilbeam, who joins as Head of Strategic Alliances; both roles will report to Ed Farrington, Head of Global Key Accounts and UK Wholesale.
These appointments are part of a continued expansion of NGAM’s UK Wholesale and Retail team, led by Ed Farrington, ahead of its official launch into the UK retail market in January 2013. NGAM has an established presence in UK wholesale and is further expanding its commitment to the UK market with specific UK vehicles for retail investors.
Both Fisher and Pilbeam will be based in the London office, adding to its growing headcount. NGAM has more than doubled its London-based staff in less than two years. Previous appointments to the UK Wholesale and Retail team include Nick Hinds, Director of Global Key Accounts; Derek Brander, Director, UK Wholesale; James Walkin, Sales Executive, UK Wholesale; and Cassie Bellman, Head of Client Service. Additional new hires are planned.
Fisher will head up the Advisory department, within the UK Wholesale and Retail team, responsible for managing NGAM’s relationships with Advisory companies in the UK. She joins NGAM from Neptune Investment Management, where she was a Sales Manager within the Strategic Partners team. Prior to her eight years with Neptune Investment Management, Fisher held various roles at Schroders.
Pilbeam will head up the Strategic Alliances department, within the UK Wholesale and Retail team, responsible for managing NGAM’s relationships with Platform Providers and Life Companies. He joins from Investec where he was responsible for the company’s Strategic Alliances in the UK. Prior to his six years with Investec, Pilbeam held various roles at AXA Investment Managers.
'Leigh and Darren bring more than two decades of experience to our wholesale and retail client base. We have an established presence in the UK wholesale sector and are further expanding our commitment to the UK market with a series of onshore fund launches early next year', said Ed Farrington, Head of Global Key Accounts and UK Wholesale, Natixis Global Asset Management. 'Both Leigh and Darren will play a key role in supporting these offerings and helping our clients to construct more durable portfolios that help investors reach their goals in today's volatile markets'.
