There is good news for United's England contingent early on in their match with Sweden. Ashley Young set up a goal for Danny Welbeck, to give the United striker a well-timed confidence boost. It is a welcome piece of good play for Young too, who was disappointing against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Manchester United’s debt is under the spotlight once again after news that the Glazer family had reduced it by a further £60 million. The Glazer’s retired a substantial amount in bonds which means United’s collective debt currently sits at just under £360 million in total.
Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has dropped a hint that he would be willing to sign a new contract at the club. Ferdinand says he is in no rush to get a deal sorted out but is happy to stay at United if the right terms are put in front of him.
