Here is a look at the latest injury news for the clubs occupying 6th to 10th place in the Premier League table.
West Ham United
West Ham currently have three players with unknown return dates; Jack Collison, Alou Diarra and Ricardo Vaz Te. Collison has a knee injury, Diara has a thigh problem and Vaz Te is still recovering from a shoulder dislocation. Manager Sam Allardyce has been reluctant to put a return date on each player. Yossi Benayoun, Matt Jarvis and George McCartney were all subbed off in the win at Newcastle with slight knocks. Matt Taylor has returned to training following a calf injury.
Defenders Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Younes Kaboul both have knee problems with no foreseeable return to the Spurs team. Moussa Dembele will not have surgery on a hip problem which means a return within the next ten days. Kyle Walker and Aaron Lennon were both withdrawn from the England squad to play Sweden this week with unknown problems. Scott Parker remains out with an Achilles problem.
Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is closing on a return to action from an ankle problem which has kept him out of the side most of the season. Fellow shot stopper Lukasz Fabianski has no return date, currently out injured with a back problem. Left back Kieran Gibbs has recovered well from a thigh problem and could be in the squad for the derby against Spurs this weekend. Abou Diaby, Gervinho and Tomas Rosciky are all set to miss the match. Theo Walcott should be ready for the match following a glute injury he suffered in the draw against Fulham.
Simon Davies is the only long term absentee in the Fulham squad as he is not expected to play until the New Year following hip surgery. Mahamadou Diarra could return for this weekend following a slight knock which kept him out of the game at Arsenal and Kieran Richardson is still being assessed following the hamstring problem that saw him subbed off during the match at Arsenal after 25 minutes.
Newcastle have been cursed by a long list of players with currently unknown return dates; Rob Elliot, Dan Gosling, James Perch, Ryan Taylor and HarisVuckic. Star strikers Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse are touch and go to play this weekend with Ba suffering a shin problem with Cisse taken off against West Ham with a back issue. Sam Ameobi did not play against West Ham while winger Jonas Gutierrez was taken off, both players are out with slight knocks.
