What are Juventus' problems in the Champions League?

Why are last year's undefeated Italian champions unable to win an European match so far this season?

This is the question that everyone in Italy is asking after Bianconeri's draw against Nordsjaelland in midweek.

The impression is that the team is not ready for an international competion. How is that possible?

First of all, there isn't a top player capable to resolve a game by himself. The power of Juventus is the teamwork but when this evaporates the problems arrive.

Against the Danes, despite a great Andrea Pirlo, only by the impact of Vucinic the draw arrived when he grabbed the goal. The Montenegro forward is the only irreplaceble in Juventus's forward line.

In last summer 'Vecchia Signora' wanted to buy one between Van Persie, Drogba, Dzeko and Berbatov, but at the end arrived Bendtner (the Danish played only 15 minutes against his countrymen).

Another big problem is the bench. Juventus did not play Lichsteiner and Asamoah but their substitutes, Isla and De Ceglie, weren't at the same level. It was the same for Giaccherini. The truth is they missed the real Vidal.

The midfielder played the worst match of this season and it was strange that Pogba wasn't involved in the game. The ex-Manchester United's player is living a great moment, he scored a beautiful goal against Napoli last Saturday.

Romantic supporters are still missing Alessandro Del Piero but the real Juventus problem is the absence of his coach on bench. Antonio Conte is still disqualified and Juventus is missing his guide.

He will return on bench in December but his team has to win the return game with Danish champions and the most important match of the season against Chelsea.

The impression after Shakhtar's excellent form is that game versus the Blues will be the last opportunity to pass the turn for both teams.

Bianconeri must resolve their problems If they want to continue their Champions League adventure.
