Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger believes that a breakaway black players union would be a bad decision. The Frenchman believes that communication needs to happen fast in relation to the recent boycott of the Kick It Out racism shirts. He feels that players of all races and cultures must stick together to fight racism or xenophobia of any kind and believes division is not the answer. Aaron Ramsey has also reiterated his manager’s sentiment when it comes to racism and believes if they all stick together then racism can be combatted.

Arsene Wenger has also been asked to defend himself after the Arsenal side travelled to the weekend’s game with Norwich City by air. Green campaigners have labelled the decision to take the 15 minute flight as absurd. The Arsenal boss felt it was necessary to avoid any traffic concerns to Carrow Road and they after rail disruption flying seemed the only viable option.

Barcelona have been taking plenty of players from North London in the past few years and now there is rumour abounding that they will move for Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny. Arsenal will face serious competition from North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur for Atletico Madrid star Adrian Lopez. The forward who has a £14.6 million release clause in his contract has had a productive start to the current season which has seen him linked with a potential move to the English Premier League. Andre Villas-Boas is believed to be unsure with his current attacking options and hopes a lure of more regular football at the club will tempt him to turn down Arsenal for Spurs.

QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt wants to pile the misery on Arsenal by helping QPR to victory over The Gunners this weekend. The Morocco international and former Spurs youngster believes that seeing Norwich defeat Wenger’s men may galvanise Mark Hughes men to push for a positive result and condemn Arsenal to back-to-back Premier League defeats when they meet on Saturday.

And finally Arsene Wenger believes that ‘German professionalism has boosted’ the Arsenal squad. He spoke of his admiration toward the training ethic of Lukas Podolski and Per Mertesacker at the club. He believes the influence they are bringing to the dressing room is magnificent for the younger players in the team to look up to.
