Long-time Spurs target Leandro Damiao is being chased by Arsenal, it is being reported. The Gunners have a reported £35 million to spend, and their interest would seriously test Tottenham's resolve to buy the forward, especially with Emmanuel Adebayor off to the African Nations Cup in January.
Tottenham have been linked with the signature of Valencia's Brazilian international, Jonas, report Talksport. The attacking midfielder scored 19 in all competitions for the club last season, and could look to leave given the club's poor form in La Liga so far this year. The 28-year-old has a contract until 2015.

There is good injury news for Spurs, with the report that Benoit Assou-Ekotto is due to return to training after being given the all clear on his knee. There was a possibility the left-back may have needed surgery but this won't be the case now. It remains too early to say whether he will make this weekend's clash against Chelsea.
However an unwelcome report has linked Assou-Ekotto with Chelsea as an alternative for Ashley Cole, whose contract will expire next summer.
Former Real Madrid striker Davor Suker has insisted that Gareth Bale joins the Spanish giants. Suker of course used to play for Tottenham's rivals Arsenal.
