All the latest news, views and gossip relating to Tottenham over the past 24 hours.
Spurs face Panathaniakos tomorrow night, in a Europa League clash in Greece which kicks off at 6pm GMT. The Greek club have been described as 'in crisis' after sacking their captain Kostas Katsouranis just 24 hours before the tie. The 33-year-old was in the midst of a six game domestic ban for swearing at a referee.
Emmanuel Adebayor may be back in training, but a Europa League role has come too soon for the player tomorrow night, report the Evening Standard. Andre Villas-Boas is instead hoping to re-introduce him against Aston Villa at the weekend, likely on the bench. Young stars Jake Livermore and Kyle Naughton are both progressing well from injuries, but will not feature against Panathaniakos.
However a conflicting report claims Adebayor could feature, and that Hugo Lloris is set to feature in goal, while Jan Vertonghen could continue at left-back.
Young Spaniard Iago Falque will be in contention for a role tomorrow night, after starting against Carlisle last week. We take a look at his impressive start to the season on the fringes of the squad, and why his progression gives the club reason to be hopeful.
Tottenham and Liverpool are both said to be monitoring the progress of Crystal Palace starlet Wilfried Zaha. The club's boss Dougie Freedman said today it would be impossible to hold onto him forever, leading to renewed speculation from the Premier League's top clubs for the England youth international.
On loan Tottenham starlet Danny Rose says he is enjoying his time with Sunderland. The 22-year-old was used as a reserve left-back at Spurs last season, and ironically might have got his chance with Benoit Assou-Ekotto injured had he stayed, yet the youngster says he has no regrets. It is Rose's fourth different club he has gone on loan to, and he says he is thrilled to be playing regular Premier League football.
Reports from Italy claim that Spurs are to re-ignite their summer interest in Shakhtar's Willian in January. The Brazilian faced Juventus in the Champions League last night. Tottenham will have a chance to see how he fares against English opposition when he plays his next two European matches against Chelsea over the coming month. However Talksport claim that Juve were so impressed with the attacker last night that they themselves may look to sign him in January.
