Note To All Male Bankers - Pass The Ultimate Test And Bag $65m

Marriage

Now here's something for all you male bankers out there who think you're God's gift to women.

Poor Gigi Chao.

globalpost reports that, just a week after the 33-year-old Hong Kong socialite revealed she is married to her female partner of seven years, her tycoon father has launched a public campaign to marry her off to a man.

Cecil Chao, a Hong Kong shipping magnate and property developer, is offering a $65m marriage bounty to the man who captures Gigi's heart, the South China Morning Post reported earlier this week.

Ms Chao last week revealed she married long-time partner Sean Eav in France earlier this year. Same-sex marriages are not legally recognized in Hong Kong.

In the meantime, OILPRICE reports that on June the 30th 2009 oil mysteriously jumped by more than $1.50 a barrel during the night, to reach its highest price in eight months, the kind of swing that is usually associated with a major geopolitical event.

A Financial Services Authority probe uncovered what happened.

Although not authorised to invest company cash in trades Steve Perkins, a long standing, senior broker at PVM Oil Futures, had managed to spend $520m on oil futures contracts throughout the night.

On the morning of the 30th an admin clerk called Perkins to ask why he had bought 7 million barrels of crude during the night, but Perkins had no recollection of the transactions, and it turned out that he had made the trades during a 'drunken blackout'.
