Abdul Razak - Manchester City's next star

Manchester City host Aston Villa tonight at the Etihad in the League Cup and Roberto Mancini is expected to hand an opportunity to youngster Abdul Razak.

So who is the young talent and what can we tell you about him?

Here are five facts about the whizkid...

1) Razak is a 19-year-old midfielder who is already an Ivory Coast international.

2) He was signed by Manchester City from Crystal Palace, where then boss Neil Warnock described him as 'the best 15-year-old he had ever seen.'

3) Razak graduated from the Mimomas Youth Academy in the Ivory Coast, which counts both City brothers Kolo Toure and Yaya Toure among their success stories.

4) He was loaned out to Brighton last season in the Championship where he made six appearances, and a year earlier had a one-month loan spell at Arsenal.

5) Razak caught the eye in pre-season in midfield alongside Yaya Toure, and is highly regarded by Roberto Mancini. He featured as a late substitute against QPR a fortnight ago, and featured in the League Cup last season against Birmingham and Wolves.
