There are some fantastic Premier League matches this weekend as Liverpool host Manchester United and Arsenal travel away to Manchester City. Here are five betting tips for the weekend’s action, including Everton to beat Swansea City.
Everton to beat Swansea City at 6/4 with Paddy Power
Everton have been one of the surprise packages at the start of this season. They started with a bang and secured a home win against Manchester United and away from home David Moyes’ side have a win and a defeat so far with a level goal difference. Swansea drew their last home game 2-2 with Sunderland and Everton are bound to have watched the tapes of that draw a million times. Everton are a decent bet to sneak a narrow victory.
Fulham to beat Wigan at 9/4 with BetVictor
This is another away win tip. Fulham looked very good when they beat West Brom 3-0 last week. They will be high on confidence and will go into this game determined to pick up their first away points of the season. There is no doubt that Wigan are a better side than they were this time last season but they are inconsistent and have only take one point from a possible six at home. The fact Fulham are second favourites to win this game is too good a chance to turn down.
Liverpool to beat Manchester United at 15/8 with Ladbrokes
When you consider the recent record of Liverpool at home against Manchester United, it’s difficult to see past them in this game. Combine this with the feeling of support and passion which will be shown among Liverpool fans following the Hillsborough news this week and Anfield should be rocking this weekend. United will dig in and will not make it easy but Liverpool are turning a corner under Brendan Rodgers and should just snatch a win.
Manchester City 2-0 Arsenal at 9/1 with Stan James
Manchester City have not flown out of the traps this season as many expected them to but they are two wins from two at home with a goal difference of plus three. Arsenal did win 2-0 away at Liverpool but Manchester City will still be recovering after the dramatic late loss at Real Madrid. Expect them to respond and close out a solid win over the North London side this weekend, who they also beat 2-0 in pre-season.
Norwich to get a point at Newcastle at 3/1 with Stan James
Newcastle is not an easy ground to go to and Alan Pardew’s side have taken four points from six at home from two games this season. Norwich are a little bit of an enigma because they have all of the ingredients needed to win this match comfortably. However, they have shipped six goals away from home in just two games. They are bound to have worked on this and should be a lot more solid, they will take plenty of support and a point is possible.
