Griffith who joins Baird from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney (MSSB) will manage the office while serving clients as a financial advisor. He is joined by Karen Colavecchio who will serve as Administrative Office Manager for the branch. Griffith replaces longtime Branch Manager Fred McLaughlin who will continue to serve clients and grow his business as a Baird financial advisor in Nashville.

Griffith served as a financial advisor and branch manager for both Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley. He began his career as a financial advisor with The Robinson-Humphrey Company in Nashville in 1991 and remained there through mergers with many firms. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and earned the Certified Investment Management AnalystSM designation from The Wharton School of Business.
Active in his community, Griffith commits time to Covenant Presbyterian Church and Room In The Inn. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Centerstone and former Chairman of The Ambassadors Circle. A former college basketball player, he has coached 6th, 7th and 8th grade basketball at Oak Hill School and The Ensworth School for more than 20 years. Griffith lives in Nashville with his wife and their three children.
Colavecchio, who brings more than 30 years of experience to Baird, most recently served as a Complex Service Manager for MSSB. She began her career with J.C. Bradford in their dividend department and later joined E.F. Hutton as a wire operator. In 1985, she was offered a position at Robinson Humphrey, where she became the Operations Manager. She lives in Franklin, Tenn., and has two adult children.
