Graham Halliday was appointed on 2nd April as Managing Director, Head of Fixed Income Trading reporting directly to Paul Hearn. He has over 15 years of experience within the Mizuho Group including trading cash and derivatives, credit and rates, both flow and structured in London, Tokyo and New York. In his new role, Halliday will work alongside Shaun Wyles, Head of Fixed Income Sales, as co-head of Fixed Income Sales and Trading in order to continue the development of Mizuho International’s client business.
Renato Giust joined on 26th March as Director, European Government Trading and reports to Graham Halliday. Giust brings with him over 15 years of financial markets experience and joins Mizuho International from State Street Global Markets where he was Head of European Government Bond Trading.
Sam Morton joined on 21st March as Director, Credit Research and reports to Graham Halliday. Morton covers telecoms, media and technology (TMT). He joins Mizuho International from Barclays Capital where he was a Credit Analyst covering High Grade Corporates and TMT. Morton was voted number one Investment Grade TMT analyst in the Institutional Investor All Europe Fixed Income Team 2012.
These recent hires follow the appointment of Vanessa Cochrane who joined on 31st October 2011 as a Vice President, Credit Research, specifically covering the auto industry.
