Raymond James Financial has announced that energy sector veteran Andrew Coleman has joined its Equity Research department as a senior analyst. Coleman will cover Exploration & Production companies and will be based out of Raymond James’ Capital Markets office in Houston.
Coleman served as an Exploration & Production analyst for seven years at firms including Madison Williams, UBS and FBR. Previously, he worked at British Petroleum and Unocal in strategy, planning, business development and petroleum/reservoir engineering.

With the addition of Coleman, Raymond James now has nine energy analysts covering Exploration & Production, Integrated Majors and Refiners, Midstream Suppliers, Coal, Oilfield Services and Alternative Energy.

Coleman received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting with a specialization in Energy Finance from the University of Texas. His professional associations include the Texas A&M Petroleum Engineering Industry Board, the Independent Petroleum Association of America’s (IPAA) Capital Markets committee, the National Association of Petroleum Investment Analysts (NAPIA) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
