Barclays Capital today announced the appointment of Josh Connor as Head of Global Transportation Investment Banking within the firm’s Global Industrials Investment Banking Group. Connor will be based in New York and will join the firm in July.

Connor joins Barclays Capital from Morgan Stanley where he served as a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Transportation and Infrastructure Group, and was also a member of the Investment Banking Management Committee and the Board of the Morgan Stanley Foundation. During his 15 year tenure, Mr. Connor played a leading role in many of the sector’s most notable IPOs, follow-on equity offerings, convertible and structured financings, as well as numerous strategic and M&A transactions. He advised Continental on its merger with United, Northwest on its merger with Delta and Canadian Pacific Railway on its purchase of the DM&E. He also advised on the sales of RailAmerica, FreightAustralia and Florida East Coast as well as the IPOs of JetBlue, Ryanair, Copa, Gol, Tiger and RailAmerica.
At Barclays Capital, he will be responsible for overseeing and expanding the firm’s relationships with top transportation companies, reporting to John Miller.
