Bank Of America Feeling Good About Itself Again

The mood at the Bank of America Investor Day in New York Tuesday was upbeat.

Here are a couple of takeaway quotes from some of the bank's executive team:

'We still have investments to make. (But) I don't feel we need to buy anything. We have the scale to compete with anybody'.

Thomas Montag, President, Global Banking & Markets, Bank of America Merrill Lynch (The New York Times)

'We are going to get most of our earnings from (the US). We aren't buying a European bank. I couldn't think of anything less interesting'.

Brian Moynihan, CEO, Bank of America (The Wall Street Journal)

'We are changing the culture of the company from a company that was built on acquisitions...(but) we are again a growth company'.

Brian Moynihan (Bloomberg)
