Here's the latest on the 'movers and shakers' front.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch

Bank of America Merrill Lynch has appointed Shaun Dreyer as head of EMEA investment-grade loan syndication. Dreyer will be based in London.

CIBC

CIBC's wholesale banking arm has been busy bringing in new talent to its Financial-Solutions Group in New York. Jed Lavitt comes aboard from Lazard Capital Markets to cover fixed income sales to US clients, and Anthony Ross joins from Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi to help with coverage of Central Banks and sovereign wealth funds.

Citigroup

Citigroup has promoted Eduardo Cruz to become head of corporate & investment banking for Latin America. He will remain based in New York.

The firm has also hired Alberto Pandolfi to head up M&A for Latin America, Pandolfi comes aboard from JPMorgan.

Collins Stewart

Collins Stewart has announced the strengthening of its Small / Mid Cap Equity Research team with the appointment of Nan Rogers to cover the property sector, and Jonathan Imlah to cover technology.

Nan joins from Arbuthnot Securities, while Imlah comes aboard from Altium Securities. Both will be based in London.

Credit Suisse

Credit Suisse announced today the appointment of Tomasz Bardzilowski as Head of Equities in Poland. In addition, five other market professionals were hired across sales, trading and research.

The team consists of the following individuals:

Tomasz Bardzilowski joins Credit Suisse as a Managing Director and Head of Credit Suisse's Polish Equities business. Tomasz joins from UniCredit CAIB in Poland, where he was most recently Deputy CEO and Head of CEE Equities. Previously, he was Deputy Head of Global Equity Research at UniCredit Group. Between 1998 and 2003, Tomasz worked in Credit Suisse's Warsaw office in Equity Research.

Jarek Tomczynski joins as a Director of EEMEA Equity Sales with focus on CEE Equities. Jarek was a Deputy Head of Global Equity Sales UniCredit CAIB Securities in London, where he focused on EMEA Equities. Between 1998 and 2002, he worked in EMEA Sales at Credit Suisse in London.

Grzegorz Kolodziejczyk joins as a Director in Sales Trading and Execution. He joins from BZ WBK where he was Executive Director in Equities Sales and Trading. Between 1995 and 2003, he worked in Credit Suisse's Warsaw office as an equities trader.

Jan Koch joins in August as a Director in Sales Trading and Execution. Jan Koch is joining from ING Securities in Poland where he started in 2003 and recently was a Director in Sales Trading and Board Member. In 1994-2003, Jan Koch worked as Sales Trader at HSBC in Warsaw, Erste Securities, Polish Development Bank, and CDM Pekao Securities.

Marta Jezewska joins in August as a Vice President in Equity Research and will cover financials, reporting to Tomasz. She is joining from BRE Bank Securities (DI BRE) where she was Deputy Head of Research and a top rated banks analyst.

Krzysztof Kaczmarczyk joins in July as a Vice President in Equity Research and will cover industrials, media and IT, reporting to Tomasz. Krzysztof is joining from TPSA Group where he started in 2008 as an advisor to CEO for strategy and later continued as a head of corporate strategy and business development. Previously, Krzysztof worked in Equity Research at Deutsche Bank Securities in Warsaw.

Credit Suisse also announced eight key fixed income sales and trading appointments in China, as it grows its onshore sales and trading business.

In sales, Credit Suisse is pleased to announce the appointments of:

Keung Li, who will join as Director and Head of Fixed Income Sales. Mr Li was most recently at Deutsche Bank, where he was the Head of onshore Fixed Income Sales for two years. He has held various senior positions in Sales and Trading with European and Chinese banks in the US and China and brings over 20 years of experience to Credit Suisse. He will report to George Chow, Head of Fixed Income Sales, Greater China, based in Hong Kong.

Teng Ma, as Director and Head of Financial Institution Sales. Mr Ma joins from Deutsche Bank.

Angela Wen, as Director and Head of Corporate FX Sales. She joins from ANZ.

Antony Xing, as Director responsible for FX sales to both financial institutions and corporates. He joins from Deutsche Bank.

Additional hires are Leo Chen, a Vice President, and Amanda Yan, an Analyst. The sales team in Shanghai will report to Keung Li.

On the trading side, Dong Jin has joined Bank as Vice President, responsible for trading short-dated onshore FX, forwards and rates. Mr Jin joins from ANZ. In addition, Feng Zhao has joined as a Vice President from Deutsche Bank. Mr. Zhao is responsible for trading long-dated onshore forwards and rates. They report to Howard Koh, Head of Emerging Markets Trading for Greater China, based in Hong Kong.

In addition, Credit Suisse has confirmed that it has appointed Vasundhara Pradeep as Head of Prime Consulting Asia Pacific.

The creation of this new position demonstrates Credit Suisse's commitment to offering its hedge fund clients the most comprehensive service in the market and underlines the Bank's ambition to become the leading prime broker in the region. Ms. Pradeep was previously at UBS, where she had been a Director in Prime Brokerage Sales & Business Consulting since 2005.

Deutsche Bank

Deutsche Bank has announced five senior hires in the Global Credit Trading and Institutional Client Groups within the Global Markets division:

Jared Dolce will join as a Director in High Grade Credit Sales. He will be based in the Bank's Chicago office and report to Casey Talbot, who will join as Managing Director and Head of High Grade Credit Sales and Co-Head of Credit Sales. Dolce will join from Citi, where he was most recently head of Midwest credit sales.  

Jason Locke will join as a Director and Head of US Credit Trading in Asia Pacific. He will be based in Singapore and report to Masaya Okoshi, Managing Director and Head of Investment Grade Credit Trading in the Americas. Locke will join from HSBC in Hong Kong, where he was head of US and European credit trading for the Asia Pacific region.

Mark Mulcahy will join as a Director in Non-Investment Grade Sales. He will be based in New York and report to Faris Naber, Head of Non-Investment Grade Sales and Co-Head of Credit Sales. Mulcahy will join from GFI Group, where he was a managing director in high-yield and distressed sales.

Nick Blewitt will join as a Director in Investment Grade Trading in New York, and will report to Okoshi. Blewitt will join from UBS, where he was most recently an executive director in corporate bond and credit derivatives trading.

John Raveche will join as a Director in Investment Grade Credit Sales and will report to Talbot. He will join from Barclays Capital, where he was an associate director in credit sales. Prior to Barclays, he was a vice president in credit sales at Nomura Securities International.

Deutsche Bank has also expanded its bond origination capabilities in Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA) with three senior appointments in DCM.

Maryam Khosrowshahi will join as a Managing Director and Head of Public Sector Coverage, CEEMEA, focusing on Sovereign borrowers and major state-owned corporations. Maryam joins the bank from Citigroup where over 20 years there her roles included Co Head of DCM, CEEMEA and most recently, Head of Financing and Liability Coverage, CEEMEA.  

Reid Payne will join as a Managing Director and will also oversee liability management for the CEEMEA region. Reid was most recently Head of CEEMEA Origination at RBS where he also established its restructuring and liability management operation.  

Anatoli Kossarik will join as a Director with responsibility for bond origination within Russia. Anatoli previously worked at Credit Suisse and most recently at RBS.

All three roles will be London-based and will report to Martin Hibbert, Head of DCM origination for CEEMEA.

Goldman Sachs

Richard Gosling is to join Goldman in a few weeks as a Managing Director & Head of Business Services Investment Banking. He comes aboard from UBS.

Jefferies & Co

In a further expansion of the firm's Global Credit Sales & Trading Business, Jefferies has announced the appointment of Samantha Wessels as a Managing Director and Senior Credit Analyst. She is to be based in London, and will focus on special situations and distressed credit. Ms Wessels has over 14 years of industry experience, most recently at BlueBay Asset Management, where she was a Credit Analyst for distressed credit.

Matrix Group

Matrix  Group has hired a senior investment banking team formerly of JPMorgan Cazenove, which was the UK's leading corporate broking franchise in the real estate sector for many years. The team comprises Roger Clarke, Carl Gough, Miranda Cockburn and Jason Cockburn who together will cover research, sales, trading and corporate finance.

RBC Capital Markets

RBC Capital Markets has appointed Winston Quek as a Director in its Global FX unit. Previously as Calyon, Quek will be based in Singapore.

UBS Investment Bank

UBS has announced the appointment of Francois Gouws and Yassine Bouhara as Joint Global Heads of Equities.

Gouws has been with UBS for 15 years, most recently as Head of Equities for EMEA and Global Head of Cash Equities.

Bouhara joins from Deutsche Bank, where he has worked for the last 14 years, most recently as Global Head of Structuring and Head of Global Markets EMEA.

Gouws is based in London, and Bouhara will be based in Stamford, CT. Both will report to Neil Shear, the Global Head of Securities.
