A Rather Expensive Dessert
The $25K frozen "hot" chocolate from NYC's Serendipity 3 is made of milk, cocoa, whipped cream, and a few grams of 24-karat gold. It's served in a gold and diamond goblet with a gold spoon, and was recently listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Starting the Day Off Right
The Westin in Times Square offers a $1K bagel served with truffle cream cheese, goji berry-infused Reisling jelly and a gold leaf.
NYC's Norma's menu includes a $1K "Zillion Dollar Breakfast Fritatta" served with 10 oz. of caviar.
The Blue Water Grill in Chicago sells a $100 maki roll with Osetra caviar and gold leaf.
NYC's Waverly Inn serves a truffle-topped mac 'n cheese for $85.
db Bistro Moderne in New York includes a $120 double truffle burger on its menu.
Las Vegas's Fleur de Lys offers a $5K burger with a bottle of Petrus.
