Reuters reports that a 37 year-old man returned to his car in western Massachusetts earlier this month, only to find that someone had gained unlawful entry. The silly man had left his car door unlocked. He feared the worst..............
When he got into his car, the owner found, much to his surprise, nothing missing. But he had been left a present - a large diamond engagement ring.
With the ring was a typewritten note:
'Merry Christmas. Thank you for leaving your car door unlocked. Instead of stealing your car, I gave you a present. Hopefully this will land in the hands of someone you love, for my love is gone now. Merry Christmas to you'.
Local police said that the mystery (sad) Santa appeared to have been searching the area for a car that was unlocked. The car owner decided to keep the ring, after it was appraised at $15,000.
Finally, it seems that in Swanage, England, it's not only the Christmas tree lights that go flashing. Police confirmed Friday that they were looking for a man who, dressed as a Santa, exposed himself to women. Police Constable Jonathan Maunder is quoted in the press, saying that 'I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously while dressed as Father Christmas'.
