The young Credit Lyonnais banker at the centre of the racy e-mail controversy earlier this month has now resigned from the bank.
Trevor Luxton, 22, hit the headlines when his lewd story about his alleged exploits with a friend's ex-girlfriend were e-mailed around the world and read by hundreds of thousands on the internet. Luxton made the mistake of e-mailing his detailed account of what he claimed happened to four friends. They also e-mailed it on and it quickly made its way around the world.
He was suspended by Credit Lyonnais for breaching the firm's internet policy. It later transpired that the story was made up and that Luxton had adapted it from a 'lad's mag.'
A spokesman for the bank confirmed that Luxton had resigned. He is thought to have been given 12 months pay. If he has, he is a very lucky chap.
