Reuters reports that Goldman Sachs could face a wait before it finds out what Utah state investigators have discovered as the probe into the firm's stock research practices comes to an end.
Utah's main regulator Anthony Taggart has so far refused to release details of what the Goldman investigation has revealed. Taggart is, however, prepared to stay his hand and wants to wait to see what comes out of the global settlement talks soon to be started between the industry and US federal and state regulators.
Taggart has said: 'I'm not sitting back saying I'm going to accept whatever comes out of the global settlement talks, what I am doing is waiting to see what comes out.' Taggart's own investigation is expected to be completed by the end of the month.
